Objectives: Provide highly targeted labor data in specific industrial parks for use in a major site selection process. The results would recommend a decision supporting hundreds of jobs for decades into the future.
Results: Working in concert with the NJ Employers Association; the Northeast PA Employers Association; the Mid Atlantic Employers Association, and various Economic Development Councils, we partnered with Fairleigh Dickinson University's Public Mind Poll for this project. We spearheaded a study to ascertain labor rates for over a dozen selected job descriptions in the field of distribution. The phone and internet based study provided rates, quality scores, commute methods and patterns and multi-shift insights to running a DC from hundreds of participants.
The study was recognized regionally and presented in various high profile logistics forums including; the North America Purchasing Managers (NAPM); the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP); The Material Handlers Society of New Jersey (MHSNJ) and the Association for Operations Management (APICS).
